On October 29, Dr. William F. Deegan III gave a talk entitled: “Choroidal Melanoma,” at Georgetown University Hospital. Invited faculty and Keynote speakers included physicians and melanoma researchers from MD Anderson Cancer Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and Brown University.
The Third William S. Gilbert, MD, Visiting Professor in Pediatric Retina was held at the Children’s National Medical Center. Dr. William F. Deegan III co-chaired the event along with Mohamad Jaafar, MD, and moderated the case presentations. The visiting Professor was J. Timothy Stout, MD, PhD, MBA, the Professor and Chairman of Ophthalmology and Director of the Cullen Eye Institute at Baylor Medical Center in Houston.
