The 2017 Annual Washington Retina Symposium, co-hosted by The Retina Group of Washington and The Washington Hospital Center, will be held on Saturday, October 14, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Georgetown University Hotel and Conference Center (3800 Reservoir Rd NW, Washington, D.C.).
The purpose of the conference is to discover recent advancements in cataract surgery, demonstrate innovations in the evaluation and treatment of macular diseases such as age-related macular degeneration and diabetic macular edema, share cutting-edge research, and provide an update on the surgical therapy of vitreoretinal disease. Nine different doctors from The Retina Group of Washington, along with three other local retinal physicians, will be making presentations to more than 200 ophthalmologists from around the country, speaking about recent research findings, the latest surgical advancements, state-of-the-art treatments, updates on clinical trials, unique medical/surgical cases and many other relevant topics.
